Looking for more Christmas fun?

In my quest for simple this Christmas season I pulled together a ridiculously easy cutting and weaving tray for my charges! If you asked E, my 4 year old charge, she would tell you that she doesn’t get enough chances to use scissors. I would tell you that up until the last few months her fine motor skills weren’t quite ready for tons of scissor work!
Christmas is the perfect time to throw together this cutting tray because we all have left over scraps of wrapping paper, ribbons and bows lying around! Add them to a box or empty basket, add some scissors and let your kids go to town!

After your child has had her fun, she can turn the mini scraps into fun Christmas tree collages by gluing pieces to a cardboard tree cutout.

I had this plastic berry bin leftover from a grocery trip and knew it would make a great weaving frame. You could also use a piece of cardboard with a few rubber bands wrapped around the edges as a quick DIY weaving frame.

Inside the berry basket I added the cutting cards from my latest printable, which you can purchase by tapping the button below!
