I’ve got two quick print and play activities for you today! Using a few things you have around the house, these activities will be sure to help your toddler who is beginning counting and pre-writing.
You’ll Need:
- Printables (available at the end of this post)
- White pom poms, cotton balls or unifix cubes
- White board markers
- Salt
- Salt tray
- Small stick or paintbrush
Snowman Counting

This cute snowman printable includes the snowman from numbers 1-10. There are also small number circles for your child to match. Once the snowmen are cut apart and assembled, have your child build by counting out a white pom pom or other white counting tool on each circle. Have him use the number circles to match each snowman.
Penguin Tracing Cards

These penguin tracing cards were made to used in two different ways. One way is to laminate them or place in a plastic pouch to use with dry erase markers.
Or they make a wonderful addition to a salt tray set up. This is what we had in mind when we created our double sided ten frame, which you can purchase here (shameless plug!)

I happened to have this small shovel in my collection but you could easily use a paintbrush or a small stick.
