It’s really no secret how much I love fall! (documented here, here, and here!) I mean, don’t we all?! There’s nothing like a cool crisp day to get you in the cuddly sweater weather mood. I can almost smell the apple pie baking in the oven right now!

At the start of the month, our homeschool co-op read the book How to Bake an Apple Pie and See the World. We talked and explored all things apple for an entire day finishing off with this adorable sensory bin.

Last year I had added some apple pie spices to old oatmeal which we used again, along with a cupcake tin, small plastic containers, scoops, felt pie crusts, and the cutest cinnamon shaker prop! I made some recipe cards (printable available at the end of this post) for the kids to make their own apple pies.

The kids in our co-op had such a good time making pies for each other and even coming up with their own recipes.
