Song baskets are one of my favorite ways to engage children during circle time, small group instruction, or to leave on a work shelf for individual exploration!
What is a song basket?
A song basket is a cool collection of cute little things or simple drawings that go with a super familiar song. You can totally toss in a lyric sheet for kids who wanna sing along too.
How do you use song baskets?
Gather your kids together and say…”Hey friends, gather around for circle time! I’ve got a cool new song to share with you. And guess what? We’ll be using some awesome stuff from the basket to make it even more fun! Let’s all sing the song together and I’ll show you how to use these items. That way, when it’s free time, you’ll know exactly what to do with them. Awesome, right? Let’s get started!“`
