Summer fun is in full swing around these parts! We spend way more time inside during summer in Texas, so a lot of these ideas are more educational than playful!

First up is my favorite sensory bin!

You’ll need:

I created a few printables to go along with a planet match, the printable can be found at the end of this post!

The planets can be found here

I really love this Catch a Star sensory bin (found in the printable!)

You can easily add black beans or black sand to a pan, add some letters either cut out or printed on stars, and give your child a sheet with the alphabet to match!

We love a good roll and cover game, also found in our printable!

We used small glow in the dark stars for this!

My oldest charge has been working hard on fine motor skills! I created a fun orbit around the moon page for a simple tracing activity.

My youngest charge loves counting so these rocket counting cards can be turned into a fun linking activity. We pretended the red and yellow links were the fire coming out of the rocket. You could print off two of these pages and make this a matching activity as well.

Counting clip cards are a great way to work on number recognition.

These large planet magnets (to scale!) were a fun way to practice the order of the planets plus learning new facts! You can find them here.

Playdough is always a winner with these kids! We added a few stars and star cutters. You could also make some galaxy themed dough if you wanted!
